Nothing beats the Yamamoto Senko 5" Baby Bass plastic worm for catching Largemouth. Whether making the most of a great fishing day or need to be saved on a Bass-less outing. Which I've needed this lure for, more than I'd like to admit.Yamamoto Senko worms are a staple of my tackle box & 5" Baby Bass is THE one variety I make sure I have.Out of all the different varieties, Baby Bass seems to work best for me. I fish in smaller to mid-size lakes, at various depths. I use a Spincaster, setup with the Senko on 6 or 8lb test & Shank worm hook, size 1/0 or 2/0.The only complaint is durability. One catch and the worm is usually completely done for. Sometimes I get lucky and its unharmed but that's rare. Even a bite & miss, could ruin the worm, that isn't typical but I've seen it happen a few times. I still give this worm 5-stars. The soft plastics & salts used to make up the Senko tear easy. It isn't tough, BUT* that downside is far outweighed by the upside of the performance and consistency of this lure.Simply put, it's the best lure out there for largemouth bass. And probably at least a few other varieties of fish.I enjoy the senko worm, but for any who are about to buy this and are considering--I believe this baits efficiency solely depends on where you are fishing. For instance I fish most of my time at caustic lake as it is local, I have fished this worm their several times all day, with no avail. if you study what the bass eat; this lakes bass primarily go for minnows etc. so when I use a zoom super fluke, i can catch those bass two to every half hour, it all depends on what the bass lake, if you are somewhere else this thing might answer your prayer if your looking for a madd bass catcher. I would recommend just try it out, if no luck move on down the bait line.Love senko's. Got the baby bass for a crystal clear river fishing trip this spring and it's now my favorite color for clear water bass fishing. Absolutely slayed them with this color, typically throwing a weighted Texas rig with 2/0 offset hook setup. I literally caught 20 - 30 more fish than anyone else using this. Watermelons and pumpkin seed weren't in the same ballpark in the clear water. Clear water this is my color. Murky or stained water, I'll take one of the others. What more can you say about Gary Yamamoto's most deadly weapon? This bait has quickly become my go to lure as I consistently catch fish using the Yama Senko. The bait has unique action that I haven't seen from a Senko before. The one issue I do have with this bait is the price and the durability. Unfortunately their nearly double the price of their competitors and they don't have a particularly long lifespan. Other than that, these little guys will yield many bass in just about any situation.I fish fresh water everyday. I only use this bait. So far I have caught 49 large mouth bass, as of may 29.. When fishing for large mouth the key is to let the bait sit at the bottom 4 afew seconds, people make the mistake of reeling in to quickly. let them see the bait. I also hook it right at the top. people who see me do that say I will never catch fish. well I have caugt 135 the last two and a half years. it looks more natural. U know the old saying if it anit broke dont fix itThese are fish getters if you learn how to fish them. Rig them weedless, or wacky style, on an EWG 2/0, or 3/0 hook, and let them sink to the bottom, then lift again and let sink. Repeat and you'll get bass strikes. These worms are one of my go to baits for bass.I've had lots of success using them.Used for fishing. These are amazing! I have been catching fish with these on my first cast!!! Great product and you won't be disappointed. I caught a very large bass with this worm!
