I just got this rod, tied on a dropshot and immediately realized i don't like this rod. The bait keeper holder is on the top of the rod. Much rather it be to the side. I have tried several times to stow the dropshot weight under the bait keeper and i cannot get it to stay. so every time i set it down, the line get tangled and knots up. I have several other rods where the bait keeper is on the side and i never have any issues with it. so know I am wrapping my line around the reel handle to keep it from tangling up. I got this to replace a regular tatula that broke for no apparent reason. I can already say, that I will hate this rod, yes, just because of the bait keep. it is going to just be a pain in the behind. the rod itself actually looks like a pretty nice rod for the price. nice weight, feels sturdier than the regular tatula. Its a shame that the most minor thing like the placement of the bait keeper makes me give this a poor review. I don't want to spend my time untangling line, or replacing leaders because the line was damaged when it tangled. I would not recommend.I love the way the rod fishes, Plenty of backbone and a very sensitive tip. I don't care for the hook keeper location either so I just bought the fuji one that attaches with the small rubber band. Still worth every penny. Can this rod be used with a baitcasting reel
