I play guitar for leisure and was desperately trying to find a decent left-handed acoustic guitar that wasn't so expensive, but that didn't sound cheap either. For the price, this guitar is perfect! The sound this 3/4 size guitar produces can be compared to any other 3/4 size guitars from companies like Taylor or Martin. Granted, this guitar does have some cons to it, but I think the pros outweigh the cons in this. Here are the cons:-The tips of the frets from the 12th fret onward leading to the body of the guitar are a tad sharp. It is not so sharp that it can cut the skin, but it is noticeable if the fingers happen to slide over the edges of the frets while moving up the fretboard.-The frets that lead to the higher notes (up the fretboard), are a bit "grainy" if one bends or pulls the strings. There is a noticeable, yet subtle, "grinding" noise that can be heard. This may be a turn off to some but I find that it does not take away from the sound of the guitar (it is a minor problem though as "grainy" frets can be fixed). Here are the pros:-Guitar has correct intonation (a must!)-Strings are not too high off the fretboard-The high notes and low notes ring loud and clear (If fingerpicking, this guitar produces a nice sound, not too loud, but not too soft. If using a pick, the guitar produces an amazingly rich sound!)-The guitar is really comfortable to hold and feels nice while playing-The guitar is very well-made. The design around the sound hole and body are decals though, but neatly put on.-It's a 3/4 size and is great for traveling-It is very easy to tune (the tuning pegs turn smoothly)-And, can't beat the price!Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. All that matters for me is that it sounds great, is comfortable to play, and I can take it anywhere. Also, this guitar arrived in perfect condition (no dents or scrapes-and this was shipped overseas). It came double boxed and with bubble packaging inside. The guitar was wrapped in a foam-like packaging material and very tightly wrapped. Extremely good packaging.***EDIT***About a year has passed since I purchased this guitar. This guitar has taught me so much and I'm thankful for that. However, this guitar will not last much longer. After taking extremely good care of it, the bridge has decided it wants to separate itself from the body of the guitar. I realize that when buying guitars, each is different and it really is a hit or miss on quality. Also, I realize the price for this guitar has gone up. At the time of purchase, it was only $91. This guitar is great for kids, beginners, or just for fun every now and then on a lazy Sunday. But, if you want quality, research into other guitars before deciding on this one.I bought this guitar for my lefty son after he was inspired by a Tommy Emmanuel video. The first guitar came and I was quite impressed. The feel was very solid, frets were smooth and no sharp edges. I also own Yamaha 'Junior' for my right handed kids and this sounds much better than that. Where the Yamaha has a ukelele sound, this has a small sound, but that of a real guitar. The sound was small, but not like the $30 junk guitars you see at department stores. Also, the components are much better, the guitar is heavier, and the bridge is 'compensated. Overall very nice.BUT...the guitar stand I had it on got knocked over and the headstock snapped when it hit the hardwood floor. So while the first guitar was great, the (first) replacement was horrible. Unfinished frets that just GRIND when the strings are bent, fret ends sharp and will take the skin off of young hands. Top strings hit frets when played and thus have a 'twangy' tone (I know, this is not the best description. Less than 'buzzing', but definitely not a clean, clear tone like the first guitar). The action is too high (from the bridge / saddle being too high), this, coupled with the bridge / string peg placement far closer than on the first guitar, resulted in the bass strings have a very acute angle from peg to bridge. If this had been the first guitar, I would have sent it back and NOT ordered a replacement. However, since I know they CAN make and finish a good guitar, I returned the second and got the third, which is kind of in the middle. Sharp, grindy frets, poor bridge placement again and generally poor finish work on the fredboard and finish.I suppose if Amazon is willing to send another replacement, I can try once more, but I'm an quickly getting tired of the exchange game.I would rate the first guitar 4 stars, the second 1 star, and the third 2-1/2 stars. It would be nice if they only sold guitars inspected by 'Q.C. HK1' The person who inspected the first guitar. The last two had Q.C. HK2 on them and have been far less than stellar!Very nice sounding entry level guitar. Construction quality is very good for the price and it is a very attractive little guitar - my son was very excited when it arrived.I was sceptical about the sound quality of a steel-string guitar at this price point but it compares quite well acoustically with my daughters full size hand made classical. Aside from quality of build, I believe this comes from the larger dreadnaught body. This larger body has two downsides though. First this guitar may be difficult to handle for smaller kids than other 3/4 guitars. My tallish 7 year old could not handle anything larger and I would say that it is best suited to musicians 8 and up. Also it can be a little harder to find a hard case that fits this guitar. You are better off to go with a soft gig bag or get a full size classical hard case which will likely be a little bit large. Finally steel strings can be a little harder to play for beginners but there really aren't that many choices out there for a pre-strung lefty in this price range. This is probably the best one and we are happy with the purchase.Ok, all in all I love the sound of this little guitar. The neck is very narrow and I have had to seriously adjust my playing to accommodate this. Very narrow. If you have bigger hands, it may be a struggle at first. No gig bag but I knew this and ordered one. It took a little longer to get it in. Overall I'm pleased with it.The action is a little higher than I would like. My 12 yr old fits it well and after a little work on the saddle can chord easilyNice little guitar for my 7yr old to start taking lessons with! Decent quality. Sound isn’t perfect but for the price and the fact he’s just starting out it’s great!Calidad 0, llegó tarde y rota. Devuelta el mismo día.
