Cover was a present for my dad for Christmas. He loves it, it's got a great weight to it as well. His last cover had plastic elements and it cracked and broke. While the deer design/emblem appears to be made of plastic the entire plate and piece that goes into the receiver is metal and appears to be welded very well.
